On October 25, 2014, Design Jam Kelowna is calling all designers, developers, tinkerers, community boosters, and anyone interested in a design thinking approach to problem solving. Come join in on a day that brings together design and hack culture to tackle a real user experience challenge for the public good.
We’ve got a great problem for you but… we’re not telling you quite yet!
Design Jam is a chance to look at creative problem solving from a design thinking perspective. Participants learn through experimentation, collaboration, sharing, with guidance from mentors and other teams.
The purpose isn’t to solve the problem, but rather to incubate a community of problem solvers. Come learn some of the newest approaches to collaborative problem solving and share your own experiences and design tricks.
The ideas generated from this volunteer-led, not-for-profit event are open source — the groups’ ideas will be summarized and released online under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license, which means anyone can use ideas generated at the Design Jam, as long as they credit the original authors.
